Our team initiated and collaborated with the Wellness Center's Youth Outreach Helpers (YOHs) to run a tabling event in the quad to spread awareness about substance abuse and vaping during the National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week. We provided interactive activities, prizes, and peer-to-peer mentoring, which attracted many peers.  Our Founder, Ryan Lin, brought two adult allies from Peer Advocate Advisory Council (PAAC) Santa Clara Office of Education to facilitate the event.  In addition, Ryan created a display board, refusal skill tri-folds, and brought in booklets that have since been placed in the Wellness Center for continued student access. Everyone's superb teamwork and communication led to an enjoyable and successful event. We're thankful for the support of the principal, school administration, and the faculty of the Wellness Center who supported this initiative on behalf of student safety and well-being.
